Jhumpa Lahiri
Thanks to a tip from Nina I was able to go down to the Barnes and Noble at Union Square to hear Jhumpa Lahiri read from her new book Unaccustomed Earth last night. It was completely packed. So packed that I didn't even get a glimpse of Ms. Lahiri. I sat in one of the rows of books and just listened to her voice flow over the microphone. I am looking forward to reading her new book!

My previous engagement was cancelled and so I was able to go. I much liked the excerpt she read. It was crazy packed indeed -- so I also was cast off way back in the photo section-- which led to me coming home with Alec Soth's Dog Days Bogota :)
Funny that you came away with that particular book. While I was trying to figure out how to get back downstairs, that was the one book that caught my eye and flipped through. Excellent choice!
