My month-long trip with R to Peru made me really happy. For a long time (since my first trip), I thought about going to Peru for an extended period of time. It's a big and diverse country. The photo above, with me looking impossibly silly, shows a point in the trip when I was super glad to have done it. I made my trip come true. It took years of planning, figuring out and I managed to do everything I wanted to do and then some. I know I am lucky and I have to thank my family and friends for that. So thanks lovelies.
Yesterday we had a small celebration at home with some empanadas and a wonderful custom Chinatown Ice Cream Factory ice cream cake (black sesame, zen butter, and coconut). Some close friends that I have not hung out with for a while came and I went to bed tired and happy.
