Espanol

One thing that's been on my mind is Spanish. Learning Spanish. I'm not sure why but I have an affinity for the language. Maybe it's because I grew up in Queens and you can hear it on the streets, stores and on the subway, along with a myriad of other languages. In middle school we had two languages to choose from: French and Spanish. I chose Spanish because it was practical and familiar and French never made much sense to me. I took it in HS and for a semester in college. During the Peru trip, I spent two weeks studying Spanish in Arequipa. Much of it was a review and my head swirled at night when I had homework. Now that I am back home, I miss hearing the quantity of Spanish I did in Peru. I've been looking into soap operas to rent, rosetta stone, and thinking hard about going south of the border and really investing more time to learning Spanish.

(And while Alpacas have nothing to do with learning Spanish, they are really funny looking animals.)
