inspiration

These three ladies are providing much of my inspiration these days: Jeana Sohn, Smosch, and Lena Corwin. I was thinking that I'd love to have my blog look more like theirs, more photos of my everyday walks, more (better) food photos, and some of what I'm working on. I need to get a new point and shoot camera. I was thinking of getting a new elph (since I like cannons and my current one is a dying elph) or maybe a panasonic lumix (they have leica lenses!). The range is probably $200-$300, not too bad so I might do it within the next month. Any suggestions? I'd like to carry it around in my bag everyday and show you some daily inspirations.

Oh, I let my hair down today (instead of clipping my bangs). I realized that the front is so long now that I can tuck it behind my ears. I was very anxious to get a haircut last week but now I might wait two weeks to see how I like this arrangement.

I love Smosch and also Camilla Engman's blog. Jeana Sohn's blog I enjoy too. I agree about adding more photos on blogs, I like it more 'journal' like. I just bought a new digital SLR camera so maybe that will do it.
As for pocket cameras, I carry around two: and old Canon S230 great for night photography (but only 3.2 mega pixels) and it's built like a tank .
Kodak gave me an Easy Share V530 a while back that is also really well built and the Schneider Lens is awesome. The Flash is not so hot and it is not great for night photography, but otherwise I quite like it.
Both of those cameras you can get very cheap on ebay - if you are so inclined :)
