Trondheim Kunstmuseum III

This last installment of images are from the Anne-Karin Furunes solo show, "Dialogue with Light", at Trondheim Kunstmuseum. Furunes is a professor at the art academy here but also an internationally exhibited artist. Her punched out images are photographic in nature, reminding me obviously of Chuck Close. I do think that she goes beyond the gimmick of creating the same image over and over again as she broaches subject matter that includes Norway's racial genetic studies that took place from 1934 to 1977 which includse gypsies, Jews, and homosexuals.

This last one was a painting on the second floor I liked.
