The bathroom should be finished this week. It's not quite so raw anymore. We replaced the old tub with a new Kohler cast iron tub. And it's completely opened up, though still a tad narrow.
We decided to go classic New York and get subway tiles for the walls and hex tiles for the floor.
We're putting in this rectangular vessel sink on top of a stand that Ross is currently building. We're having a piece of corona marble cut as the counter top.
We're almost done shopping (so close)! We just have to buy a toilet and we're aiming for a TOTO Ultimate though we'd love a one piece dual flush (can't find one readily available). I cannot wait until THIS week is over!

i think i'm getting that same tub as well. i'd love to get a slightly deeper tub but for cast iron, the cost jumps significantly!
i want the hex and subway tiles too but my mom doesn't like white.. argh, so hard to design!
your bathroom layout is the same as mine, with the water running on the right instead of the left wall.
good luck, i can't wait to see the finished results!
Hex and subway tiles come in different colors and stones. There are also larger subway like (meaning rectangular) tiles that come in all sorts of finishes and colors. I almost went for a warm gray tile that was about 4x12 in. which would make for a warmer and more contemporary looking bathroom. I will have finished pictures soon, I hope.
